Fragments of Postojna's Architectural Past

The photographic exhibition "Fragments of Postojna's Architectural Past" is displayed on four cubes situated around the town—outside the Notranjska Museum, by the municipal building, in the town square, and in the park of the Secondary School of Forestry and Woodworking. It showcases photographs of Postojna from various periods in the town's history.

Preserved photographs and postcards are an inexhaustible source for research, reflecting the warmth of ancient times. Often, an image "recorded" only on a postcard offers a nostalgic, sometimes forgotten, or barely recognizable picture of a place. The Notranjska Museum houses an exceptional collection of postcards that began to take shape as early as the 1950s. It ranks among the most significant regional collections today, and a small segment is now on display.
