With the new month, the Notranjska Museum Postojna is switching to its winter opening hours. We are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Organised groups may also visit the museum outside regular opening hours by prior arrangement.
Autumn also brings a number of special events and exciting new developments.
On Friday, 11 September 2026, from 4 p.m. onwards, we invite you to the Mesto krasa (Karst Town) Festival, featuring family workshops, guided tours of the exhibitions, a variety of demonstrations and presentations by local providers, delicious ice cream, waffles and cocktails, as well as a concert by Vlado Kreslin. Find the full programme at: https://www.notranjski-muzej.si/objava/1354454
We have also opened registration for our museum subscription programmes, which this season offer opportunities for new discoveries, socialising and exploring some of the museum’s most captivating content. This year, you can choose from four programmes: https://www.notranjski-muzej.si/objava/1339197
As the new school year begins, we wish all pupils a successful start to the new school year, and their parents plenty of patience, pride and many wonderful moments shared together!
